They Told Me It Would All Make Sense When I'm Older... Liars!
Hey there, fellow young adults! Welcome to Adulting with Carol, where I'll be sharing my thoughts, struggles, and (hopefully) wisdom on navigating this crazy thing called adulthood.
I'm 23, which, according to Google, is still considered "young." But honestly, most days I feel like I'm 100 years old, stuck in a never-ending cycle of confusion and uncertainty.
Remember when everyone told you, "Don't worry, it'll all make sense when you're older"? Yeah, I'm calling foul. Whoever coined that phrase was clearly a sadist or a time-traveler from a parallel universe where adulthood is actually easy.
Newsflash: it doesn't make sense. At least, not yet. And I'm starting to think it's all just a big conspiracy to make us feel like we're losing our minds.
I mean, think about it. We're expected to make life-altering decisions about our careers, relationships, and finances, all while navigating the treacherous waters of social media, student loans, and Netflix password sharing.
It's like being dropped into a real-life game of "Adulting Simulator" without a user manual or a cheat code. And honestly, it's exhausting.
So, to all my fellow young adults out there, I see you. I feel you. And I'm right there with you, stumbling through the dark, trying to find the light switch.
Let's navigate this crazy thing called adulthood together, shall we?
Stay tuned for more rants, reflections, and (hopefully) words of wisdom from yours truly.
